F.A.Q.

Q: How long is the trip?

A: The trip is approximately 7.5 miles and takes most groups between 3-5 hours to finish, but there is no time limit as long as you’re back by 6:00pm.

Q:  Do you rent kayaks?
A:  Yes!  We have a great selection of kayaks, try our upgraded kayaks with extra room and more comfortable seats, they will change your world.

Q:  Do you have group rates?
A:  Yes. We love to help out with groups. We offer a 15% discount for groups of 15+ people.

Q:  How late can we kayak?
A:  The last trip is usually at 1:00pm. We require all rentals to be back before 6pm.

Q:  Do you allow inflatable tubes?
A:  Provided we have space to accommodate transporting a tube, we allow tubes to transport coolers only, not people. Tube transportation may not be available if there is no room, or may require an additional kayak transportation fee of $15.

Q:  Do you allow pets?
A:  Absolutely! On a leash. Just F.Y.I., some dogs do better on the water than others. You might want to see how your pet does around water first.

Q:  Do you provide life jackets for children?
A:  Yes. We have life jackets to fit from 1 year old on up.

Q:  Do you have life jackets for big guys?
A:  If God makes him, we have a life jacket that will fit him.

Q: What should I bring and wear?
A:  Wear shoes that can get wet and muddy and won't fall off; flip-flops are typically a bad idea. Wear comfortable clothes that can get wet. Bring:  water, a snack, sunscreen, bug repellent, a towel, and a change of clothes to leave in your car.  Leave anything that you don't want to get lost or wet in the car or at home.  You would not believe how many people lose something on the river every day.

Q: Can we fish on the trips?
A: Of course. We love fishing! The best fishing in the area is done on these rivers. One group last year even caught a fish with their bare hands. Make sure everyone over the age of 12 has a fishing license. These can be purchased at Walmart and many other locations.

Q: Which areas do you serve?
A: Here is a very, very long list of where people come from to go canoeing or kayaking, in no particular order: Clarksville, TN, Ft Campbell, KY, Dover, TN, Pleasant View, TN, Ashland City, TN, Dickson, TN, Springfield, TN, Coopertown, TN, Joelton, TN, Nashville, TN, Hendersonville, TN, Mount Juliet, TN, Lebanon, TN, Downtown Nashville, Sango, Franklin, TN, Brentwood, TN, Murfreesboro, TN, MTSU, Hopkinsville, KY, Bowling Green, KY, Lake Barkley, KY, Tennessee River, Cumberland River, Erin, TN, Madisonville, KY, Evansville, IN, Henderson, KY, Paris, TN, Murray, KY, Murray State University, Austin Peay State University (APSU), Land Between the Lakes (LBL), Southern Kentucky, West End, The Gulch, East Nashville, and lastly, strangely enough, a lot of people from Central Ohio and Upstate New York.
